God’s blessings today (30 August 2005)

I felt pretty dizzy after having lunch (home-made sandwiches and a cup of Gloria Jeans coffee). I guess I should have overdosed on caffeine already, as I’ve already taken a cup in the morning. I regretted of getting the coffee at that time, as I could have saved it for something else. Because of the dizziness, I couldn’t go for gym after the class at 4 pm. So I went to catch the free-bus back home to North Adelaide.
I met my neighbor waiting for the bus as well, with another lady. We didn’t manage to board the bus as it was already full and so we decided to walk home together (a 20 to 30 min walk), as the weather was pretty good but windy and cloudy this evening.
During this walk, I learned two things from my neighbor. Neither of us knew the lady. As we walked along, I introduced myself to her and I found that her name was Angela. I was trying to connect with her and I asked her about what she was doing in the Royal Adelaide Hospital and she told me that she was looking after her husband who was ill. So I just asked her generally about the condition of her husband. I was just a bit insensitive to her need of empathy and understanding. Without knowing how to handle this, our conversation just stopped, as we walked along. When my neighbor came along, somehow, I was amazed at how she was able to connect to her and her need. I’ve learned this phrase of connection from her, “Oh! That should be quite hard for you!” Hehehehehe…….
I’ve even learned about how to show concern to people in need, “Have the hospital been giving you enough support?”, “How are you coping with that?”.
The second thing that I’ve learned from my friend was something that concerned my study……. One obvious physical sign of high blood lipid, which I didn’t learn in my class.
God is really good that He allowed me to be in that time and place and situation to learn new things. He even gave me this opportunity to exercise too (the walk home) although I was not able to go to gym this evening.
Moreover, God also brought me home just on time before the storm of heavy wind and rain started. I truly thank God for such a great wonderful plan. After that I praise the Lord for the cup of coffee and the dizziness. If not, I would have been stranded in the uni if I was well and I wouldn’t be able to learn all this great stuff. Hehehehe…..
As I laid down to rest, I felt my head spinning around even after I closed my eyes. So I took the step of faith and commanded the dizziness to leave my head at that moment in the name of Jesus Christ and because my body is the temple of the Lord Jesus. Immediately after that, I felt peace and I was able to rest without feeling spinning after closing my eyes. I praise God for the authority that He has granted us through the name of His Son, our Lord Jesus Christ.
Finally I felt a lot better after the rest and after a great home-cooked dinner of a piece of healthily cooked fish and a dish of vegetable (bean sprout and Chinese cabbage) with a dish of fried penne with Carbonara sauce!
Praise the Lord for His love endures forever!
I truly look forward for the great plan and blessings from Him ahead of my lives!
