God Is Good, All THe time

It's been long since I last blogged. Time really flies and now that I'm done with all the exam, I truly have to thank God for His countless blessings through this period of exam. He has been there with me, guiding me through each path and each day. His blessings are truly abundant and immesurable and uncountable. That's why I always do my daily thanksgiving prayer everynight. Were I to leave a day or bring forward a day, it would be far too much for me to remember.
As I went through this last day of my exam, I smiled and thanked God again for His goodness and for revealing His love and His promises and also a glimpse of what He has placed in my future. As I was preparing for my supplementary viva throughout last week, God showed me the main stuff to study for and He even whispered into my ears and mind of what types of case that I'll be getting and be tested for today's viva. I prayed hard before the viva that I just got the same strong feeling I'll be getting the case on this topic. WHen I got the case during the viva, I was overjoyed to see the question. I also prayed that God would also bless me with wisdom and favour and that He would also speak through me. During the viva, I was able to do, understand and answer far beyond what I was able to do during my revision. After the viva, I was overflowed with joy and peace and assurance that everything has been done and planned by Him.
Throughout the weeks before, as I was preparing and doing my examination paper, He was also there with me, leading me through each papers. I did my best in those papers and now I surrender the results unto His mighty, awesome, powerful arms. I believe and trust that He would bring me through all these successfully. Indeed, I also believe (and have the same assurance and peace in my heart) that He will surely help me through these. I truly praise the Lord FOr revealing this to me and also to bring breakthrough into my life and my mind, so as that I will not be hunted and bounded by the past failure. He is truly a God of breakthrough.
Even through this exam period, God has blessed me that I was still able to join the choir in their regular activities in the church, including the album recording. God also spoke His promises and His strengthening words into my lives and my heart throughout this weeks of exam period, through the sermons and also through the daily readings. I also learned not to worry and to have faith and trust in Him and also that HE IS IN CONTROL.
I also learned about the importance of Praising the Lord, the power of prayer and also meditation of His words through these weeks.
It was truly amazing of how He worked, working and works in my lives.
Please don't ever ever underestimate the power of praising the Lord, prayer and meditation of His words.
I believe that by faithfullly doing and having these qualities in our lives, it will surely move the hand of God and cause the window of heaven to open and flow into our lives.
"Draw Near to me and I'll draw near to you."
No eye has seen, no ear has heard,
no mind has conceived
what the Lord has prepared for those who love Him.
Only now I understood the meaning of this verse from 1 Corinthians 2:9 and why it was chosen as the theme verse of DUMC. Praise The Lord!

Morning “Wake Up” Call (12 Nov 2005)

I had been awaken up early in the morning a few days ago (4 days ago), which I ignored the first one (I was feeling a bit hot-also in the second one), but at the second morning, I remembered someone told me before that God can call a person up early in the morning to speak to them. So I woke up that second morning, at 4.20 am, and did my daily devotion. After that I went back to bed again. Before sleep at the same night, still unsure if it was a call from God, I asked Him to show me if it’s His will and call, wake me up again the next morning. But I slept through the night that day. Still feeling unsatisfied, I did the same prayer again that night before sleep. This time I was awaken by hiccups at about 6am. I was very sure that this was His call this morning. After having a sip of water to relief the hiccups, I did my devotion and went to bed again after that.
Before I sleep last night, I did the same prayer again and asked God to wake me up if He wants to speak to me. I added this prayer before I sleep, “Speak, Lord. Here I am, ready to listen to what you are saying.”
This morning, I was again wakened up by hiccups, at about the same time as the second morning, at 4.25 am. As I flipped over to Asian Notes Volume 3, over to today’s reading, I saw the title across the page again-The Meciful Wake-Up Call. I was overjoyed and excited as I started to read through the page-Weak, Yet Faithful. Today’s scripture devotion was taken from Revelation 3:7-13. As I read through the short passage, I felt the heavy presence of the Lord around me and I also felt like He was speaking this passage to me, personally.
7What he opens no one can shut, and what he shuts no one can open. 8I know your deeds. See, I have placed before you an open door that no one can shut. I know that you have little strength, yet you have kept my word and have not denied my name…..
10Since you have kept my command to endure patiently, I will also keep you from the hour of trial that is going to come upon the whole world, to test those who live on the earth. 11I am coming soon. Hold on to what you have, so that no one will take your crown. 12Him who overcomes I will make a pillar in the temple of my God. Never again will I leave it. I will write on him the name of my God and the name of the city of my God, the new Jerusalem, which is coming down out of heaven from my God; and I will also write on him my new name.
As I read through the passage, these words spoke into my heart so deeply and my body was also shivering (maybe in cold) and shaking. As I tried to put on my jacket, the shaking turned to my feet and the shaking continued through until I finish reading this reading in Revelation. As I recalled through, I was very sure that it was the presence of the Lord that makes my body shake.
This was the explanation given following the passage from the Bible;
….. And if they were to persevere in their endurance, their future would be bright and the rewards for their faithfulness beyond compare…… If you are numbered with the majority, be sensitive to the needs of the minority, especially the small minorities in our multi-ethnic society. Pray that our church will reflect the multi-ethnic mix in our society.
Lord, teach me how to become a bridge-builder across ethnic groups living in my neighborhood.

The shaking stopped after I’ve finished reading through this page and the passage. As I turned into the next two readings in Ezekiel 1-3 and Hebrew 9, I can still fell that God was speaking through these passages.
Ezekiel 9:27-28 Just as man is destined to die once, and after that to face judgment, so Christ was sacrificed once to take away the sins of many people; and he will appear a second time, not to bear sin, but to bring salvation to those who are waiting for him.
As I read through Ezekiel, I found that the name means “God is (or makes) strong” and he was a priest and a prophet of the Lord.
Wow! He is truly a great and mighty God, who speaks and hears and answers.
Today’s experience really gave me a great encouragement to persevere and to strive forward in every areas of my lives, be it study, spiritual growth, my future and all the other areas as well. I was also reminded to stand firm and strong in the Lord, preparing to receive the reward of my salvation and also to have compassion to reach out to the lost and to all the peoples, also to pray for people and the lost.

I truly hope these scriptures and these testimonies will speak forth to you as well, as you read this through. If you can, please read through the passages that I read through as well.
Hope God will show you and speak to you as well.
Please be strong and to persevere in the Lord as well, so that He will place an open door in your life as well. I also pray that He will make you a bridge-builder as well.
Do you know Jesus and His salvation and love?
Are you ready for His coming?
